In consideration of the high costs of baits in Portugal and in the aim of not to aggravate the costs of those Federations that will register more than one team at the Coarse Angling for Youth World Championships, the FIPSed Steering Committee has decided to decrease for the U15 category ONLY from 0.50 l to 0.25 l the maximal amount allowed of earthworms.
So, the final amount of baits allowed will be:
For the U15 category:
15 litres groundbaits and 2 litres of baits, of which a maximum amount of 0.25 litre can be jokers. A maximum amount of 0.25 litre of earthworms is allowed in the total baits. Earthworms shall be presented entire (not-cut). Bloodworms are only meant for hooking and shall be presented in a “FIPSed official size” box. After the control, bloodworms meant for hooking can be used for groundbaiting.
For the U20 and the U25 categories:
20 litres groundbaits and 2.5 litres of baits, of which a maximum amount of 0.25 litre can be jokers. A maximum amount of 0.50 litre of earthworms is allowed in the total baits. Earthworms shall be presented entire (not-cut). Bloodworms are only meant for hooking and shall be presented in a “FIPSed official size” box. After the control, bloodworms meant for hooking can be used for groundbaiting.
